DOUBLE SIDED TAPE – FILIMIC CARRIER
|
|
|
Features & Benefits:
POLYESTER FILM:
- PET films have a typically very high resistance to temperature.
- They provide an excellent dimensional stability together with stiffness & high tear resistance.
- PET films are resistant to a wide variety of corrosive chemicals, including acids, solvents and oils.
- Due to its high transparency it is often used where optical clarity is a requirement in a double-sided tape.
- Very good ageing and weathering properties.
- Due to its strength the film is often used as a repositionable double-sided tape.
PVC FILM:
- PVC films possess excellent overall ageing performance especially UV & weathering resistance.
- Very good tear resistance & offers good dimensional stability.
- Often white for appearance.
- Used in various exterior-bonding applications.

TRANSFER TAPES
|
|
|
Features & Benefits:
- A transfer tape is an unsupported adhesive without a carrier.
- Because of this they are very flexible – an advantage when applying to structured surfaces.
- Often additives are put in the transfer to give it some foundation, as they can be difficult to work with.
- Transfer tapes are mostly used for laminating smooth, closed cell or lightly structured substrates and foams.
